Dear Friends of the Fort Lauderdale Fire Museum,
We're excited to
announce that beginning this fall, the museum will now be open two
Saturdays each month:
- September 13 (new day!)
& September 27
- October 11 & October 25
All
open house hours: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
This expansion means more
chances for the community to explore our historic firehouse, discover
antique fire engines, and learn about fire safety. To make these days
successful, we need your help. \
Volunteers
Needed We're looking for 3-5 volunteers at a time, especially
since many of our guests are families with young children. Tasks may include
welcoming visitors, helping with activities, and assisting with tours. In
addition, October is Fire Prevention month and we hope to schedule school
field trips (dates TBD) and will need enthusiastic volunteers to help us
bring history to life for students.
If you're available, please
email flfiremuseum@gmail.com with
the Open Houses dates you can volunteer.
9/11
Remembrance Ceremony We invite you to join us for our Annual
9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m. This
meaningful tribute honors the lives lost and the courage of first
responders.
Whether
you visit, volunteer, or spread the word, you are helping preserve history
and inspire the next generation. Thank you for being a vital part of our
Fire Museum family!
With gratitude,
Fort
Lauderdale Fire & Safety Museum Team 1022 W Las Olas Blvd
